North Node in Cancer 11/6/18-5/4/20

Hey y’all,

A major transit that started in November was the passage of the lunar node into the sign of Cancer. It’s been in the sign of Leo for the last year or so, and I even wrote two posts about it.

Recorded this video around the new moon in Dec 18, hence seasonal decorations- and mostly I’ll let it do the talking.

Real quick in case I use this post later (lol), the north node shows us where we need to focus on growth and development. In the birth chart, it’s what we don’t know and are here to learn in this life. In transit, it gives insight to the challenges of the next year or so and how to be available to our full potential.

The sign of Cancer is all about being in touch with our own emotions. Like the crab in the changing tide, we look for security in the environment by clinging to what matters most to us- our loved ones, friends and family. Cancer is ruled by the moon and controls the emotional tides with its waxing and waning, meaning that our feelings come and go and change and develop over time. Are we going to ride the waves of the next year or get slammed by them?

Cancer is the archetypal Mother. Where it falls on our chart shows where we give and receive nurturing care. All these personal feelings and connecting to the maternal nature in all of us is a theme that might seem quite scary to a lot of people. Most of the time we cover up our emotions. But this next nodal phase is all about diving in to those waves to unlock the mystery.

I didn’t mention this in the video, but we all better start getting into this Mother Mode and go get all those kids out of jail on the US border. How can we not feel for our Fellow People? Hopefully this North Node in Cancer isn’t going to follow the trend and be another disaster for the US.

Anyhoo, I’ll probably do another checkpoint but here’s my hot take on the north node in Cancer:

Cheers,

Will

Full Moon in Virgo 3/1

Hey hey hey,

The full moon in Virgo takes place at 11 degrees, exactly opposite the Sun in Pisces. There are six of these opposites in the zodiac, and none of them show the difference between “dreams” and “reality” more than Pisces and Virgo, respectively. This full moon lights up in Virgo to remind us that we cannot live on dreams alone. We have to do things, and the more efficiently we do them, the easier our dreams will be to manifest.

Full moons are the culmination of plans and cultivation of seeds planted during the previous new moon (which was in Aquarius). It’s the time to do the things you set out to do. The light of the Sun (representing consciousness) is fully illuminating the moon (representing subconsciousness)- it means our insides are equally energized.

Virgo is the 2nd earth sign, and it shows the mutable quality. The first earth sign, Taurus, represents what we do (I made a brick). The second, Virgo, represents how we do the things we do-what is our method, our system, etc. (This is how I made the brick). The third earth sign of Capricorn represents to what end we do the things we do (This is how the brick I made builds the house I built). Virgo is all about details, and making sure things are right. This is because Virgo, like all mutable signs, combines the qualities of the previous two signs. In this case, it’s Cancer the Mother, and Leo the Father. Virgo must be discriminating and use all the lessons learned from both ‘parents’ to make their own choice. They must ultimately be whole unto themselves, like the original etymological meaning of the word.

The astrological 6th House (just below the western horizon in the sky) is associated with Virgo. Schedules, work, routines, chores, habits, and all the minutiae of mundane daily life are found and organized here. This includes our day-to-day health and maintenance. Are you taking care of your body? Are you taking care of your time? are the pressing questions of the 6th House. This full moon will tend to pull our heads out of the clouds and be more on the ground. But, those pesky life things like making sure the gas tank is filled means that we can drive toward those dreams without having to worry about running out on the way. Making sure that laundry got done means not worrying about what you’re going to wear tomorrow as you sashay toward them dreams! How are these analogies working out?

astro_w2gw.64054.22777

Interesting things about this full moon are that it has a nice trine to Saturn, so all this hard yet maybe boring focus on work will have long-lasting foundations. Pluto has a minor grand trine with Jupiter in Scorpio and Neptune in Pisces-meaning lots of changes, but a lot of them are about the way we feel right now rather than the way things appear to be on the outside. We are connecting to some real vibey shit right now, and I’m not sure anyone really knows how that’s going to express on a public level which is what Pluto in Cap is all about. Part of that configuration is creating a pointy finger of Yod at the north node in Leo, which I mentioned before. That means that we are going to want to blend into the crowd right now, but this is the time to stand in that big scary spotlight and roar like the Lion you are this year! Overall there’s a lot going on socially, big picture wise, but this time is asking that you follow your own heart, even if it means taking a big leap.

Make sure that you are taking care of you as you do the things you do the way you do them. And take it easy on anyone who is not doing it as well as you-they are working their own process, too.

Go get em!

Full Moon in Cancer 1/12

Hey hey,

Quick overview: Sun in Capricorn, Full Moon in Cancer at 4.34am MST 1/12/17

The last time the full moon happened in Cancer, it was Christmas day 2015. I didn’t write a blog about that one because I was SO FAR up in my feelings, and that’s what this moon does. First of all, Cancer is ruled by the moon. In a chart the moon is our emotional center, how we subconsciously process and react to things. I think of it as the internal realm, where people are usually aware of our external, conscious sun energy. Where the moon is located will show us where we will ebb and flow like the tides it causes. The full moon always shines a light on the area of the chart it falls, and is the culminating time of the previous new moon.

The last new moon was in Capricorn, sun and moon in same sign at 7°, meeting up exactly with Mercury retrograde (which I talked about a lot in the last post.) The Mercury rx energy is really infused into this whole moon cycle of Capricorn, this whole month. The new moon is the time when the moon is dark and primal, the impulses that are born during this time have not yet been lit by the conscious light of the sun. New drives in Cap energy have us focused on our long-term life goals, how we are going to build our legacy, and how to create in the physical realm all of the fiery, spiritual philosophies of the previous cycle of Sagittarius. And I have to say that the reason I didn’t post about the new moon when it happened a couple of weeks ago, on December 29, is that I was having some major life changes going on! I was learning to rethink the trajectory of my life. It sounds dramatic, and it is. But it’s not my story to tell, I just got to watch it unfold. And it’s good! Seems scary, but an astrologer I work with, Shawn, talked to me about how Capricorn is about moving through fear. People are having this crazy life-goals, Mercury rx, T-square, gotta focus on the big picture-type energy going on, people are figuring it out.

So that brings us to this full moon! The moon is on the opposite side of the chart today, and is in its home sign of Cancer. Cancer is the deepest part of our soul, the most private part of ourselves. It’s why Cancer is the Crab, because it hides its vulnerable parts (maybe we’ll talk about the clinging pincers another time). In the chart, Cancer is associated with origins and the past/memories, energy you’ve inherited from your mom, and your innermost soul. It’s the moment in your life development when you discover your own individuality, the core of your inner realm. So when the moon is in its home sign and all lit up like today, that means a big spotlight of consciousness is glaring into all the nooks and crannies that usually stay dark. A keyword of any full moon is heightened emotions, but this is heightened emotions AND comprehension of all those dark places. Our souls are exposed right now, there’s nowhere to hide. The position of the moon now also makes that T-square going on into a full-blown Grand Cross for a day or two. We will have a lot of attention drawn to things that need action to be taken. Whether that motivation is an internal pressure or a response to external circumstances, right around now we will be feeling the need to GET IT DONE.

Learn from what comes up now! The reason this is the culmination of the new moon in Capricorn is that we can fully connect internally to our new life goals. If we don’t have that deep soul connection to our objectives, then how would we accomplish anything? It’s generally the idea the most opposite signs are Cancer and Capricorn, the internal and the external, the personal and the worldly. But in this moon cycle, they work in tandem. We have to shine a light in the dark corners to make sure we know we’re on the right path.

On another train of thought entirely, this last moon cycle has been exactly on point productive as far as life and career goals. I’ve been developing a personal website for my day job, and having the goal marks of going public today during Mercury in the retrograde shadow zone happening has been a trip! I’ve been working on these public career goals, and yet going live with it today seems apropos because it’s intensely personal, it’s really my soul out there for anyone to see. This website building could have happened anytime, but it’s poignant that it’s now. The idea that these cycles always happen, I have a couple of weeks to implement an idea before the full moon, etc. That idea gives deadlines, an exquisite pressure, to accomplish whatever goals you want. I continue to like the idea of astrology as a meditative practice based on natural cycles (even though the mystical element appeals to my more romantic side). Set a goal, go do the thing. Do it with the moon behind you, and watch out! Hahaha.

Thanks for reading!

Cheers,

Will

Sag Season-Sun Shift 11/21 & New Moon 11/29

Hi,

Scorpio season sent me underground:) AND I started writing this over a week ago, but here I am, the day after again. What are you gonna do? But now it’s time to come back into the light. So! Here’s my thoughts on the yesterday’s New Moon in Sagittarius.

New moons are when the moon is dark. The Sun and Moon meet at the same point, and then the moon grows and shines full, then wanes and dies again. When they are at the same point, the conjunction gives birth to a new moon cycle. So they say that New Moon is a time to lie low, to be receptive to the energies that are passing through. It’s a time for planning, gestating, recharging the batteries and channeling your intentions for the month ahead.

Because the moon is in the umbra of the Earth’s shadow, it doesn’t reflect the sun’s light. The metaphor here is that the light of consciousness, represented by the sun, is not shining in the subconscious, intuitive, emotional areas ruled by the moon. Basically, we aren’t aware of our impulses and things tend to come up from inside without our conscious control. Our more primal nature has more sway at these times.

The term ‘shadow’ has a lot of meanings, but new moons are a perfect time to embrace the different connotations. It’s my feeling that it’s as important to stand in your shadow as it is to stand in your light. Because everything exists on a spectrum of opposites, light and dark could not exist without each other. They each have their purpose and their time. New Moons are a time for the dark corners of your subconscious to thrive. It’s important to let your mind, your heart, your chakras, however you want to frame the conversation, that those energies have time to rest and be free beyond the confines of what we think we know and can control.

The New Moon in Sagittarius takes place at 5:19 am MST on November 29. This moon cycle is all about coming out from the subterranean depths of Scorpio and into the fiery light. We experience deep truths under Scorpio influence, hidden mysteries. The skeletons in the closet get dug up. And in Sagittarius, that new knowledge is fuel toward seeking truth. Sagittarius is linked to the 9th House of the chart and keywords are philosophy, transcendence, higher learning, foreign countries. Sag energy pushes us to expand (like its ruler, Jupiter) our awareness and to follow our own path, regardless of what we learned in our youth (represented by the opposite sign of Gemini/3rd House). This moon cycle is giving birth to a new way of seeing the world outside of our own experience. A different impulse is going to arise from the new moon in regards to how we are collectively, and personally, relating to issues of beliefs, ideals and learning. We will be having a fresh take on what is truly working for our most good.

Part of what’s taken me so long to write this is describing the influence of the two T-squares going on, activated during this whole moon cycle. The first is the new moon as well as Saturn square the north node in Virgo AND Neptune in Pisces (one set of red triangles in my drawing). This describes a period of time where we are feeling very much pulled between our spiritual nature and connection to all of creation against knowing that this time is all in the mundane, real details that, strung together, make up a life. Our test now is our awareness of the balance of these things, and the trials the arise in trying to keep that balance. We are being tested now by Saturn to ensure that our dreams and our realities are in balance. This moon cycle is a checkpoint to make sure our philosophies are in accordance with this tension. Everything exists on a spectrum of opposites, and this time will help us determine at which point we need to be, if we are open to its influence. It can be very trying.

The other T-square is the opposition of Uranus in Aries to Jupiter in Libra, both square Pluto conjunct Venus in Capricorn. This describes a time when who we are publicly is transforming, and attention is called to the revolutions going on in the self, and the growth and expansion of relationships. Jupiter in Libra is mixing up our social interactions; we seem to be meeting a lot of new people and finding new layers in existing relationships. If anything has been out of balance with our personal relationships, we’ve been noticing an evening out. People seem to be wanting to help us, or conversely, people seem to need more from us more than usual. This is now a tug-of-war with how we are envisioning ourselves. We’re seeing new possibilities within ourselves, and balancing that out with others seems to be more of a balancing act than before. These drives are encouraging us to become something different and deeper on the stage of the world at large. As it’s a T-square, this doesn’t feel great. The thing this new moon has going on is Venus joined forces with Pluto. That indicates these transformations we’re going through are softened by love. We’ll feel that the changes are for our benefit. They might even be for our profit, as both planets are tied to money.

Some beneficial influences activated by this new moon cycle are include the trine (blue lines) between Saturn/Mercury in Sag and Uranus in Aries, which indicates that we’ll have an easier time learning our lessons personally. The individual things we have to learn will have a free flow of energy, and like the earlier comment, we’ll have a feeling that our hard lessons to learn will help us find the vision we have for ourselves. The other is the trine between Mars in Aquarius and Jupiter in Libra. This is most excellent for group relations. We’ll feel like we’re getting things done when we’re getting them done together. And intriguingly, the things we get done well help fuel the transformations we’re a bit uncomfortable addressing in those T-squares.

I’m going to finish now before I wait another week to do it. One-on-ones seem to be a struggle, but thank goodness for the whole crew:) Thanks for reading, and sending you all the good vibes! Follow your own voice, stand in your own truth.

Cheers,

Will

P.S. I only used my same ephemeris to prep this, and the drawing I did is from that.

Full Moon in Aries 10/15

Hi everyone,

Been a bit distracted from looking up lately, but here’s a little post about the upcoming full moon.

The full moon is a time to take action. The moon is fully illuminated by the sun, without being in the earth’s shadow. This represents the subconscious/intuitive/shadow side of our nature being illuminated by consciousness. We know what intentions have been set under the dark new moon, and are able to take conscious action.

The new moon at the end of September happened in the sign of Libra (it was called a black moon because it was the second new moon in that month). The sun and moon are considered to be at the same place, or conjunct, at the new moon. This joining of the masculine and feminine, or the conscious and unconscious, gives birth to a new impulse of energy that grows through the full moon and wanes by the next new moon. In the sign of Libra, this moon cycle culminating with this Full Moon in Aries has to do with relationships, balance, and aesthetics.

The new moon is the time to recharge your batteries, make plans and figure out what you want to do. The full moon is the time to do all that stuff, because we have the conscious power to make it happen. If the new moon in Libra puts new focus on relationships, the full moon in Aries complements that energy by placing a conscious focus on the Self. Dance metaphor: you can’t find balance with your partner (Libra) if you don’t know what your own steps are (Aries). This focus on the self might feel empowering, and it might make some folks uncomfortable. I’d expect some personality conflicts since people will be very sure of what their own energy is and is not. The fiery passion of Aries might fuel conflicts that might not have happened otherwise, but it also might cause things that have been blocked to bust out. This full moon is one o’ those Supermoons, because the earth and the moon are closest at this time of year. Extra gravity pulling on your gravitrons or whatnot.

I don’t think everyone will be running around trying to fight, but it wouldn’t surprise me in the least. I think people will feel very motivated by personal goals at this time, trying to wrap up lose ends by the end of the month. It can be inspiring to be filled up with all that fire energy!

Looking at the chart for today, Mars is exalted in Capricorn, conjuncting Pluto. This is excellent for making long-term plans and actually following through. This energy has the drive to build not only a castle, but an empire. The crazy thing about it is the T-square it makes with the Sun in Libra and Uranus in Aries. The Sun in Libra is making us aware of our partnerships as they evolve through this Libra Moon Cycle, and Uranus in Aries is revolutionizing our sense of self which we will be especially aware of during the full moon. Uranus electrifies whatever it touches, so the tension of this pull between the self and partnerships against long-terms goals and plans has an urgent, energized feeling. The remedy for a T-square is the energy that is missing, which in this case is Cancer. Which means that we’re not using our feeling self enough during this time. We’re missing the watery flow of emotions, so some empathy can go a long way right now.

Venus in Scorpio is still making everything all erotic and shit. Go get em.

Saturn in Sag is sure making the world an interesting place, no?

That’s ask I got for now. Thanks for following:)

Cheers,

Will

Full Moon in Aquarius 8/18 – OR, in which I built a fence

Hi there,

Bit late posting because I’ve been so very busy with these Leo new noon intentions. The August full moon, called the Red or Sturgeon Moon, happened at the end of 25° Aquarius at like 1 AM MST or something on Thursday.

The duality of Leo/Aquarius is best expressed, in my opinion, as the balance between personal power and people power. Leo is about personal creativity and expression, Aquarius is about maintaining that individuality within group dynamics and finding functionality as a whole. Leo is passionate and takes things personally, Aquarius is detached and seems at times not to be affected. They are opposite energies, but we couldn’t exist without both.

The moon in Aquarius gives us flashes of insight into the future. People with this moon placement in their charts have a very high intellectual capacity that is connected to their emotions. Aquarius’ cool detachment gives the moon a chance to breathe, but also to care about people on a larger scale. Humanitarian is the word for this natal placement.

This Leo moon cycle is about new heart impulses, new ways to find enjoyment and pleasure in life’s little moments and then creating those moments for yourself. This full moon plays into that by providing the interaction with humanity at large to establish what is your personal kingdom and how does that fit in with everyone else’s.

On a personal note, Saturday is my birthday! It’s been my intention since the Cancer new moon to have some house projects done, and especially this lunation, to have this yard finished and have a house party to celebrate this Leo ass. Full moons are strongest for about three days, so I think this fit in perfectly with my desire to establish my yard (Leo “kingdom” lol) and then have everyone over to enjoy it (Aquarius “people”).

Some interesting facets of this last week or so has been the conjunction of Mars and Saturn in Sag. The real pressure is on next week, as I wrote before, but the tensions have been steaming for the last week or two. Mars is drive and Saturn is restriction. Since the clock has been ticking, my intensity in completing the project has intensified. Saturn is coming in with the reality check of time and space and materials, while Mars (my ruling planet) has been ram-hammering those restrictions with relentless force. Ask anyone who’s been involved, and they will tell you that I’ve been pushy and bossy and quote possibly bitchy. I, however, will tell you how much stuff got done that wouldn’t have otherwise.

It’s interesting to me that Sag is foreign countries and the ‘other,’ while Saturn is physical boundaries and structures, all fired up by Mars’ initiative energy. This is kind of the perfect time to rebuild that fence that fell down years ago. The energy and the structure are there. If you haven’t been similarly using the tension of this aspect, you might be feeling trapped or constrained. I’m not saying I’m amazing or whatever, because trust me, unrelenting rage has also been a large part of the physical exertion of this fence. In fact, no one has been safe. The vicious takedowns have been real, including yelling a a neighbor’s guest who was trying to bullshit around while I was cutting lumber. Like, going OFF.

So before I try to pass of my bad behavior as destined by the stars any more, I’ll reinforce the idea that this new heart place we’re working on is our kingdom. It’s a new kingdom, populated by new people. I feel as though the Aquarian energy of this full moon is people running into each other with this whole new heart mojo. Does my energy fit with these people or groups of people anymore? Are my creations and contributions crucial to my teams successes and failures? Are my personal impulses and drives being recognized and honored by the group? I think a lot of the tensions in this very energetic time have to do with realigning yourself with those friends and groups of people with whom you relate. You are feeling new, I know I am. You might not feel like you align with old habits and ways of doing things. This full moon gives us the opportunity to check ourselves.

So it’s been an intense summer. I’m very much looking forward to celebrating my birthday and gathering, expressing the fun and harmony that this Full Moon can give. If you’re around, come play on Saturday! I promise I’ll have my wrath under control by then.

But by then, I’ll have a cute yard, too;)

Go out there and get it done!

Cheers,

Will

P.s. used my ephemeris as well as THE ONLY ASTROLOGY BOOK YOU’LL EVER NEED.

P.p.s. please to enjoy this fence! Hollaaaaaa. Also this lovely photo of the Aquarius Full Moon by my buddy Anthony:

New Moon in Leo and Year One: Check

Hi everyone,

Thanks so much for joining me on this journey over the past year since I started doing readings:) So happy to be at the Golden Braid in SLC, can’t wait to see what happens next!

Here’s a video of me talking about the Leo New Moon!

EDITS: It’s not Venus and Mars conjunct, it’s Venus and MERCURY. So scrap what I said, this time will be sensual rather than overtly sexual. We will want to communicate in a detailed way the beautiful things we are attracting in terms of creativity and recreation. Then with the trine to Uranus in Aries, that energy is electrified and we’re able to tap into innovation, the future almost reaches out through creative endeavors. We will want to gracefully speak on the insights and inspirations we are having.

Venus and Mercury are actually square Mars, but as Mars moves out of Scorpio, I think the conversation with Uranus will help us through any tensions that might arise. We might feel some friction, but we’ll have another kind of understanding that will lead the way.

Something I also forgot to mention is that there are no air signs activated, like the last full moon. Air energy is mental and intellectual and has everything to do with communication. Keeping the windows open to let some fresh air in will be needed. Like, it’s great to have other perspectives, but I think that the kinds of fires being lit and fueled right now go beyond words. This lunation, for me, is about experiencing rather than analyzing, doing rather than planning, feeling rather than thinking. There are things that are intuitive, and this time is very personal. Trust your inner voice and follow your creative spark. Talk less, do more.

Again, thank you profusely for your support! Like my page on FB, subscribe to my YouTube channel, and check us out at goldenbraidbooks.com!

Setting forward an intention as I go into my second year, I’m thinking about the end of Jupiter in Virgo transit: working on the details and generating more content, more consistently. Stay tuned for planetary transit updates, natal chart position breakdowns, and the continuation of the houses and moon cycle discussions. If there’s anything in particular you’d be interested in hearing about, let me know in the comments or on FB. Excited to move forward!

Cheers,

Will

New Moon in Cancer

Hi everybody:)

The new moon is on the 4th of July (Independence Day or Excessive Fireworks Party in the US:) at 4.03am MST. This is a powerful new moon because the Moon will be joining the Sun at 12° her home sign of Cancer. This is the sign of the Mother, the feminine source of life from which all life springs and is nurtured. Its element is water, and is the second cardinal sign. This marks a new quadrant in the zodiac, where the soul begins and we start feeling things deeply (the first three signs deal with the physical realm, the next three emotional, the next three mental, and the last three spiritual). Cancer is the seat of the soul as it were.

The Cardinal quality of the sign gives Cancer the ability to initiate energy and activity by the force of their emotions. Its connection to the moon makes this energy ebb and flow like the tides. The tidal flow as well as the currents of the river to the sea are the most apt analogies for Cancer energy. Cancer women, especially, are cosmically tied to this energy and indeed, their emotional tides are the water and waves. The men aren’t the waves in the literal sense the women are, they are riding the waves. It’s important for Cancer people to learn their flows, and in time they will be able to harness these changes. As young people, the emotions they so strongly feel can be overwhelming. When they are excited, they have a hard time CONTROLLING THE VOLUME OF THEIR VOICE. They have infectious moods and can feel other people like reading a book.

Cancer rules over the breasts (Mother, remember?) as well as the stomach. Many Cancerians have deep feelings and intuitions, and I always trust the gut reaction of those folks in my life. Its animal totem is the side-stepping Crab, and like their symbol, these folks can be very indirect in their approach. Also like the Crab, they can cling with tenacity to those things they love, like none of the rest of us can understand love. Security is a keyword with Cancer, in the sometimes harsh tides of life they seek to find a safe place where they won’t be tossed around by the waves. They carry their home on their backs (can be HUGE hoarders…like, I love y’all but COME ON), and can withdraw if they feel at all threatened (they often do, and can be fantastic hermits). The motto of the sign is “I FEEL,” and no one can do that like them. Their physical health is directly tied to their emotional health, if they feel depressed or frazzled they can and generally will quickly become sickly. They seek to nurture because they can understand, they seek nurturing from the churning tides.

So! The new moon is the time to lay low, rest and restore, make plans to be enacted as the moon waxes. This time is when the emotional place has no light from the sun, we are at our most raw and primal. Our emotional energies are subconscious, under the surface in the world below. The Moon here in her own sign feels at home, our emotional impulses will be strong, almost overwhelmingly so. Depending on your chart, this could trigger dreams or psychic impressions. I think it’s a good idea to realize the emotions that will be flowing are doing as they’re meant to, we might not understand our own motivations and deeply felt reactions consciously til later. Trust your feelings as the moon is dark, this is your subconscious speaking to you in a much stronger way than at other new moons. People might be dramatic af, to be perfectly honest, but everyone is going to be vibing hard on these flowing feelings. An important element of this new moon is the retreat thing: go recharge your batteries, get all up in your feelings and let the tide wash over you.

Goals and meditations during this time are connected to emotions, your past, your parents-especially your mom, your home, and your own private emotions. Cancer’s ties to the 4th house make everything very deeply felt and personal. People might not get all up in your shell, and you might not wanna come outta there. That’s OK. Because this, like my hilarious Cancer friend jokes in v public situations, “IS PRIVATE.” There will also be a juicy trine to Neptune in Pisces, the emotions will run deep and we’ll be primed to tune in to the Universal Frequency. More dreams and vibey psychic flows.

This new moon cycle is about the emotional drives, the search for security. By the time we get to the full moon, we’ll have to take concrete Capricorn action with all these touchy-feely vibes going on now. Soak up all the impressions and even the smallest feelings you experience now, they’ll help you in practical ways in a few weeks. It takes place in the 2nd decan, so it’s infused with Scorpio energy; according to Devore, the new moon will be nuanced by: “revelation, resourcefulness, energy; powerful emotions; the struggle with sex.”

Interesting features of this new moon! First of all, the Sun and Moon, Venus, and Mercury will ALL be opposition Pluto over there in Cap. There is a need to balance all these crazy feelings with the transformations we are all experiencing collectively. There might be power struggles if Pluto is pulling too hard, I’m thinking this might be work-related? Basically the pull from the security we’re v much aware of vs. our public obligations and transitions. We’re gonna be all up in our feelings, there might be friction.

The other balancing act I’ve mentioned in previous posts. It’s the opposition of Jupiter in Virgo and Neptune in Pisces. This is the dissolving of the subconscious into the Universe vs. the expanding day-to-day details we taking care of all the time. The pull between the soul-mind and the earth body. This opposition creates, with the Cancer/Capricorn opposition, what is called a Mystic Rectangle. That means that these two oppositions aren’t as tense or abrasive as say, the grand cross we just went through. It’s tighter angles, creating trines and sextiles that make the energy easier to deal with. There are flows easing the tensions, and helping to keep each extreme balanced. People with this aspect in their birth chart often have unusual gifts, insights, or viewpoints. So there’s a lot of craziness, but there’s also a lot helping us out during this new moon.

Trust your gut feelings and allow yourself to recharge and replenish during this time. Doing things will happen later, and you’ll have more insight if you’re rested and ready. Make a blanket fort and cry it out, alright? 😉

If you would like a personal reading, you can contact the folks at the Golden Braid in SLC, or at goldenbraidbooks.com to set up a time. We can meet in person or on the phone!

Good luck and godspeed,

Will
